Elaine Seyd comes from a background of travel documentary critical writing about anthropology gender and society.
Internship work Proud Galleries and later Eyestorm of London have provided Elaine with sound experience of gallery exhibition and curatorship.
Elaines recent photo projects include Making Quality Time, as an exploration of still photography as a time-based medium, Fabrications that addresses scale of constructed environments –both physical and mental- and a forthcoming as yet untitled book project for 2008 about family, loss, & grieving- this is strong stuff, expect no punches to be pulled. You have been warned!
Elaine has links to the Vancouver area of Canada, which constantly provides new ground for project work, and plans to cover the Quebec City Quadcentenery celebrations during 2008 and 2009 before the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver again.
